Eugene "Jack" Brewer

Born 1905 in Carroll County Mississippi. Jack was the second youngest male of eleven children. His parents were John Allen Brewer and Narcissus Gatewood.
Jack grew-up in Mississippi, but lived most of his adult years in Chicago, Illinois.
The book "Blood Is Thicker Than Color" shares a small segment of Jack's life. This book also denotes what it was like to live during segregation and some of the differences between the North and South.
Jack helps us understand Chicago and Mississippi in the 1920's and the advantages and disadvantaged of both.
